Judging “ICA “CATIE Awards” an Appetizing Honor!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is honored to be selected as a judge, for the 2nd year in a row, for the International Caterers Associations‘ prestigious 2011 “CATIE Awards”.

The “Caties” recognize the highest achievement in culinary excellence among a global collective of the best chefs and catering professionals who bring to life a creative vision in food and beverage and create truly memorable(and tasty) events for corporate and special occasion clients.

The “Caties” will be announced and presented to the deserving winners (they ALL are winners in my book) on February 28, 2011 at the Awards Ceremony as part of the Catersource and Event Solutions Idea Factory conference here in Las Vegas February 27-March 2.

This years’ big awards gala is being held in a very unique venue called “MEET, Las Vegas” located in the heart of downtown. “MEET” is a very unique venue with spaces that offer an incredible blank canvas that has the infrastructure to do some incredibly creative, out-of-the box weddings with complete on-site catering.

The awards night is always one of the highlight showcase evenings of the conference that highlights cutting edge design, entertainment, food and beverage where the industry can gather to celebrate the very “best of the best” and have a great time too.

Engagement:Danielle & Terry|Snow Day in NYC

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is Celebrating Love today and introducing you to Danielle and Terry. I am delighted and honored to be producing their wedding this May at WynnLasVegas and Encore, Las Vegas Resort.

Danielle is moving from her native Chicago to the “Big City” of New York City before the wedding and I can see from these pictures and smile on her face she already has that “EmpireState of Mind” and looks right at home. It puts a huge smile on my face to see the two of them looking SO HAPPY.

Thank you so much to the very talented Mr. Johnny Gonzalez, New York City hair and makeup stylist for making the naturally beautiful Danielle look absolutely radiant and “feeling like a celebrity” (her words!). I hope to see you in Vegas in May!

My dear friends and amazing photographers Natasha Chornesky and Chris Cozzone of Write Shot Photography captured not only the incredible energy and love between Danielle and Terry but the spirit of the city on a VERY SNOWY day after the “Great Blizzard” of 2010.

I am so excited for the wedding week to work with Natasha and Chris. We always have a blast together. I know they are going to document this wedding and surrounding celebrations filled with fun, laughter and style to create an amazing love story book that Danielle and Terry will have as a legacy to their love forever.

Dear Tameca and Chandra,

I am pleased and honored to feature your beautiful “Celebration of Love and Life” on my blog highlighted by this beautiful wedding slide show.

From the moment I first spoke with both of you, I admired your story, your style (in every sense of the word), passion for life, your relationship with your families and friends and dedication to your community. Most of all, I admired, and still do, your love for each other.

As you look at these photos, I hope you remember with a smile, as I do, the highlights of your day.

There are so many moments that I recall that touched me. I have only room to list a few here, including . . .

Hanging with the two of you and your dearest friends in your surprise Wynn, Las Vegas Tower Suites (so cool!) and watching you transform into beautiful brides. Tameca, your first hesitant “mermaid” steps in your gown and Chandra, how you radiated confidence in your suit and complimented Tameca so well.

Experiencing your ceremony; the candlelight, the warmth and the poetry you selected that so encapsulates your relationship.

Watching you both on the dance floor surrounded by the love of your family and friends, having the time of your lives and enjoying the sweetness of the day. Oh, sweetness!! Did I mention ALL all the amazing desserts and 2 cakes including, your Vegas Vegan masterpiece?;)

I wish you both a lifetime together filled with good health and good fortune so you can keep doing the good you do for others, with lots of laughter, lots of joy and most of all….LOTS OF LOVE!
