Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge had the great pleasure of planning & directing the absolutely beautiful (if I do say so myself) wedding of Andy & Elizabeth at the always elegant Four Seasons Resort, Las Vegas this past May 17th.

It has been one of my absolute favorite weddings this year for so many reasons beginning of course with a couple who I have come to know & love over the past 15 months.

The wedding locations took some twists and turns from when we first started out but, I’m a firm believer in “beshert” (Hebrew for “destined to be”) & the celebration could not have been more perfect than in the gorgeous Fountain Terrace of the Four Seasons thanks to the fantastic Asst. Director of Catering, Dennis Silknitter.

Andy & Elizabeth incorporated not only the beautiful green color but also as many “Green” elements they could into their wedding. From cutting down on paper & having an elegant seating chart/menu combination to bio-fueled luxury transportation for guests and environmentally, socially responsible wedding bands, the affair reflected this couples wish to celebrate in style & with respect for the environment.

It was a wonderful evening and truly a celebration of love, family & friends enjoying a beautiful environment, a fabulous Las Vegas night, delectable food & drink (Donut Bar & Eskimo Pies included) & live entertainment all night long. It wasn’t just a wedding, it was a PARTY!!

Thank you to the unbelievable, talented team of Wedding Professionals who made this event such a success. It’s a pleasure & honor to work alongside you. You make me look GREAT & you all ROCK!

Weddings like this & couples like Elizabeth & Andy are why I truly love my job!
  • Tifany of Gourmet Invitations for the amazing custom “linen inspired” invitations & reception pieces.
  • Randi of Naakiti Floral & Sit on This Chair for the gorgeous florals, decor, linens & chairs who is just a joy to work with & always goes above & beyond my expectations.
  • The uber-talented John Michael & Dalisa Cooper of Alt F Photography. It took 6 years to work with you FINALLY, & it was worth the wait:)-I’m going to make sure it won’t take that long again.
  • Lori White who is one of my absolute favorite hair & makeup stylists to work with.
  • SWANK A/V for those super cool light balloons.
  • The Steve Beyer Band for keeping us rockin’ all night long.
  • Vegas Photo Booths for all the photo fun. What WAS going on inside that cabana?;)!!
  • Pat Harris & the awesome Sight N’ Sound Events Video Team
  • Nicole from Earth Limos for the Eco-Luxury Rehearsal Dinner Transportation
And Thank YOU Andy & Elizabeth for allowing me to be a part of your lives this past year & help you bring your vision of your wedding to life. It was truly an honor & pleasure! Mazal Tov you two & may you have a long life (120 years or so) full of good fortune, good health, lots of laughs and of course, much love all ways and for always! X0

GOOD GRACIOUS
FOOD | EVENTS | WEDDINGS

Picture of the Simpson House Inn in Santa Barbara, CA.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is traveling again on the 19th & 20th (have to confess I am loving these little day trips to see all parts of the beautiful “Golden State” of California)! Through the magic of internet publishing, I am on my way there now as you read this.

I am so excited to be going to beautiful Santa Barbara, California for a very special & intimate get together of wedding planners and pros hosted by the wonderful Pauline Parry, owner of Good Gracious Events in Los Angeles and the beautiful Simpson House Inn, a truly idyllic Bed & Breakfast for some “food, fun & love” of all things girls love.

I was honored to receive an invitation and when you know it’s being hosted by Pauline Parry, you know you are in for a wonderful experience. Pauline’s new book “Food, Fun, Love Party Styles” is full of delicious recipes and beautiful images and ideas from many of the fabulous parties and celebrations she has hosted and produced & will give you an example of why I said “yes” in a heartbeat.

Looking forward to having fun with my wedding colleagues in California including my dear friends, Jeannie Ward” “The Wedding Jeannie” her husband and our friend Veronica.

I’ll be back in Las Vegas on Thursday the 21st. Have a Stylish Day!

Colin Cowie, one of Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge’s favorite wedding & lifestyle heros, style trend setters and planner to countless celebrities like Oprah, has announced a new extension of his lifestyle brand to now include his brand new floral and decor services, called Colin Cowie Flowers.

That man is amazing with all he does. I love watching him in the morning on Get Married TV.

Colin Cowie Flowers is going to set brides and wedding/event planner’s hearts (mine included) aflutter by offering his gorgeous flowers and iconic style and decor designs a la carte without having to hire Colin Cowie Lifestyle to plan the event. This is to appeal to stylish couples with smaller budgets (most are smaller than the budgets Colin works with I’m sure).

Ok, have you picked yourself up off the floor yet?:)! Can you imagine your wedding having the potential to look like some of the amazing wedding images in his Colin Cowie Wedding Chic: 1,001 Ideas for Every Moment of Your Celebration or Colin Cowie’s Extraordinary Weddings: From a Glimmer of an Idea to a Legendary Event books? WOW! All it takes now is one call to your wedding planner here in Las Vegas and one little dialing finger for me to make your floral wedding come true a la Colin Cowie Style. LOVE IT!

According to an article on Biz Bash Magazine, CCF services begin at $10,000.00 and can include table rentals and other decor elements. While that is nothing to sneeze at, it is not unrealistic for a wedding strong on floral and decor to have a budget starting at this price range.

I hope YOU will be the first one Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is looking forward (A LOT) to collaborating on my first event with Colin Cowie Flowers to bring Your Wedding Style to life. Let’s create a truly FABULOUS Las Vegas Wedding with STYLE!

I am accepting clients for late 2009 and 2010.

Elizabeth & Andy Get Married

Sunday, May 17th, 2009

Photography by John Michael Cooper, Altf.com

It’s hard to believe that after 15 months of planning, the big day is finally here for Elizabeth & Andy.

They will be celebrating their oh-so-stylish & fabulous Las Vegas wedding at the beautiful Four Seasons, Las Vegas resort; truly one of my favorite hotels in Las Vegas for planning a wedding and just visiting.

Elizabeth & Andy live in Las Vegas but it’s a “Destination Wedding” for many of their family and friends. So yesterday evening they brought everyone from the strip to their home by Earth Limos (they are “Green” & run on Bio Fuel) for a casual, fun rehearsal dinner by the pool. Their two adorable pugs didn’t want to miss out on ALL the weekend fun.

Lots of fun, personal touches today and a night of love, fun and celebration.

Congratulations Elizabeth & Andy! it’s been such a pleasure and honor being a part of your lives. Mazal Tov & “to 120″ (years)” as we like to say.

You two have DEFINITELY hit THE JACKPOT!!

Love,
T.

Destination Weddings Bust Recession Myth-Las Vegas Still Attracting Stylish Brides & Grooms!

Las Vegas Strip at Night | Image by LorenzFoto

Picture of Cover of Current Issue of
Destination Weddings & Honeymoon Magazine on sale now.

Although the way that they are being planned is evolving, Destination Weddings are alive & well despite the sagging economy according to a new article and survey from Destination Weddings & Honeymoons Magazine.

According to survey results, Las Vegas is still considered one of the most attractive wedding destinations only behind Florida for US destinations and edging out Hawaii who has been knocked off the #1 spot.

USA and Caribbean and other destinations “closer to home” are more attractive right now to couples compared to overseas like Europe, Tahiti, Fiji, etc.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is, of course, very happy to hear that Destination Weddings are still thriving & certainly wants to invite all couples to consider Las Vegas as an ideal destination for your celebration.

We have fabulous weather 350 days of the year, gorgeous resorts & venues, fabulous shopping, we are a dining, nightlife and entertainment mecca and with the wealth of talented event professionals and resources, can fulfill your wedding vision and dreams come true & beyond.

The guest lists are a bit smaller but the budgets are a little bigger, suggesting that couples are treating themselves and carefully considering their guest list so they can have a high quality destination wedding celebration experience across the board and with those who mean the most to them and want to travel with and be with.

Las Vegas has so many interesting venues; beautiful restaurants with private venues, club spaces not used during the day, country clubs, hotel suites and other unique spaces on and off the strip that are perfect for these smaller, intimate affairs.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge LOVES planning small, intimate weddings such as these and can help you create your Destination Las Vegas Wedding with style…Your Style. I am accepting late 2009 and 2010 bookings now.

Fabulous Rental Furniture Can Make Your Wedding a "Fete Accomplie"

Rental furniture for weddings to create intimate lounge environments that help make your guests feel comfortable, relaxed and add an extra layer of wow to your event is no longer a “trend”, it’s definitely here to stay. That is “a good thing” as Ms. Martha would say.

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge could not agree more. And one of my absolute favorite companies in the event furnishing rental business these days is Fete Accomplie Events based in the Los Angeles, CA area.

Fete Accomplie’s line of luxury furnishings created just for events encompasses so many adjectives with all the different styles of furniture and accessories they offer it would be a very long list, but sophisticated, opulent, glamorous, sexy, stylish (you knew I was going to say that) are just some of the ones that come to mind.

Add some of these pieces to your wedding and you will definitely make a statement. The images above are from the fabulous Spring 2009 Your Wedding Day Magazine wedding showcase at the Ebell Club, Los Angeles that I attended recently.

These two rooms, that I spent the most time in, were furnished with furniture from Fete Accomplie Events.

The phenomenal Marie Antoinette Gone Modern dining room, designed and coordinated by my good friend Jeannie Ward, the Wedding Jeannie, really utilized their “High Style” furniture collection. It was absolutely the most stunningly beautiful space to walk into and I am so proud of my friend! I also got to meet

For a different look, the “Deco Square Banquettes” provided modern touch of Hollywood Glamour in the Disco Room where everyone partied the night away.

Furniture is an excellent investment in your wedding reception budget and not as costly as you think. A few well placed pieces will make any room feel like you are welcoming your guests into “your place for a special moment in time”.

You must check out the entire 3 part review of this amazing wedding industry event on the Ebell, LA’s blog written by the fabulous Catering Director, Melissa Allen (who is a Vegas native by the way) AND I invite you to visit the Fete Accomplie website to see their amazing Product Showcase (I want it ALL…for my house) and Event Gallery that I know will inspire you.

It certainly has inspired me and I think I want to live in their warehouse! It is truly a Tracey “Happy Place”!

Wedding Concierge Goes Green for WIPA in the OC!!

Wednesday, May 6th, 2009

Ceremony setup at Italian Wedding Rotunda by the ocean, Pelican Hill Resort

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge is in Newport Beach, California right now enjoying the beautiful weather, the ocean and a gorgeous morning.

I am in town to attend the May 6th meeting of WIPA, (Wedding Industry Professionals Association) being held at the luxurious 5 diamond Resort at Pelican Hill.

I could not think of a more beautiful and natural setting, against the majestic Pacific Ocean backdrop, to focus on the topic of “Green Weddings” for this event. I am looking forward to this program as we will not only learn about how to plan environmentally sustainable and socially conscious events but how high end venues, resorts and wedding professionals are helping couples marry their wedding vision and their wish to incorporate “green” ideas and elements into a great, personal wedding style.

I look forward to sharing what I learn and pictures as well.

I will be back in Las Vegas on Thursday. Have a fabulous & Stylish Day!!

Happy Cinco de Mayo! "Viva La Vida", "Viva Las Vegas"!

Tuesday, May 5th, 2009

HAPPY CINCO de MAYO!!!
Nevada is home to a very large Mexican and Spanish population and if there is one place that knows how to celebrate it’s Las Vegas! Put those two things together and you have the makings of one MAJOR HOLIDAY FIESTA my friends!!

Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge would like to wish all my friends who are celebrating their Mexican heritage today (and those who just love the holiday), a very Happy Cinco de Mayo!!

Being a Jewish kid from the north east (Toronto), Mexican, Tex Mex and the like, were never really done all that well as I was growing up. For the record, it’s MUCH better and easier to find great Mexican food in Toronto now. Anyway, when I moved to Las Vegas and married a Texan, I “discovered” good Mexican food. And although I still can’t get my lips around the whole refried beans and guacamole thing…I am warming to some great Mexican cuisine available in Las Vegas beyond the standard taco shops.

Two favorite Mexican Restaurants that Your Las Vegas Wedding Concierge loves and who are celebrating Cinco di Mayo in Style today are Dos Caminos Mexican Kitchen at Venetian/Palazzo, Las Vegas on the fabulous Las Vegas Strip and La Madonna Restaurant, located in the southwest of the valley & serving Mexican avante-garde Cuisine.

The ambience, the food, interesting menu and service at both of these restaurants are absolutely the best and I always have a fabulous time and a great, memorable meal whenever I go to either one. Both places have their own unique vibe and make for a great night out whether you are celebrating a special occasion, a holiday or just to enjoy some great high quality Mexican cuisine and cocktails.

Check them out if you have the chance. Love the Queso Fundido and the White & Chocolate Fondue at Dos Caminos The Tortilla Soup, Queso Flamiado, Steak Alambre and that amazing Street Style Corn at La Madonna have attained “comfort food” status. Don’t forget the drinks. Both venues have amazing bars with huge tequila lists for a wide variety of concoctions that will have you saying “Ole” faster than you know.

Enjoy and if you are visiting Las Vegas and looking for somewhere to celebrate Cinco Di Mayo, here a few other resources for you to check out what’s happening in town today.
